High-waisted suede-like skirt

What a change in weather - from a warm and sunny day yesterday to wet and gloomy today!
Given the cooler temperature I thought it appropriate to wear my new skirt from Sheike.
I only just bought it a few days ago and loved it when I tried it on. It's a high-waisted style, suede-like fabric in a burgundy shade, with an overlay feature across the front. It fits like a glove, perfectly contouring to your body, but because the fabric is so soft and stretchy the skirt is not tight, just fitted. Ps. The snug fit really accentuates your curves! Plus, it is the perfect length, stopping right on the knees.

For work, I prefer the longer length as it looks classy and elongates your legs. For today's look, I paired this skirt with my blush-coloured cold-shoulder top. I really love the combination of blush and burgundy; will definitely be wearing this colour-combo more
throughout the coming months. The burgundy shade is such an Autumn/Winter colour you can have this skirt on repeat, pairing it with white, black, beige, all shades of pink, navy or cobalt. Either way, you'll definitely get your money's worth from this skirt!

Frills and Animal Print

Good morning everyone!

For today’s look, I paired the black-and-white animal print skirt I purchased recently from Witchery, with my white cold-shoulder, trapeze top from Cue - which is currently on sale (down to $77!, also comes in black). This is one of my favourite outfits because it looks so feminine and sexy. As the skirt is short, I balanced it out by wearing a top with a scoop neck, with my only my shoulders exposed. I completed this look with my red pumps for a pop of colour.

This skirt also looks classy with black. I like it paired with this layered cold, shoulder top , that I purchased last week from Cue - and it's also on sale!

Autumn Styling - March 2018

So, I was intending to post this last week, on the last day of summer but I got caught up with work and my studies… On a positive note, most of the Autumn fashions have hit the stores and there’s so many pretty, feminine pieces. Frills and lace seem to be the dominant theme this season – happy days! haha

Witchery had 20% last weekend and I managed to buy a few items I really liked.

A cute black skirt is a staple and wears well over Autumn and into Winter. This textured skirt, with its double-ruffled hem is so darling. It’s a great buy as you will be able to create a variety of looks with it. In winter, it will look hot with opaque tights, a white shirt and ankle boots. Note: it is short, stopping mid-thigh and fits true to size. NB: I am wearing the size 4.

I also bought this wrap-ruffle skirt. I love this skirt - I mean frills and animal print, enough said! The cut of this skirt is super sexy! It is longer at the back and inches up slightly on the front right side, exposing a bit of thigh…I think it’s the ultimate skirt – you can wear it casually with a t-shirt and boots or sneakers or dress it up for work. It fits true to size. NB: I am wearing the size 4.

Another buy was this sexy tiered-sleeve lace top. I am obsessed with everything lace; it’s so romantic and feminine and of course, sexy! Normally, lace tends to itch my skin but this fabric is really soft. I adore the tiered sleeves – adds an extra touch of femininity to the top. The cami underneath is included, and the top is a fitted style but not tight. The great thing about lace is you can glam up your casual look of denims. NB: I bought the size 6.

This pretty top was another one of my purchases. The bubble sleeves are so cute and different, and the colours and floral print are really pretty for Autumn; soft and feminine. I love wearing light colours, even in winter so, this top is perfect. NB: I bought the size 6.
Have a great week everyone!

Red Floral Dress

Happy Monday everyone! Wishing you all a great start to the week.

I found the most gorgeous dress from Cue! It's a vibrant red colour with pretty flowers scattered all over in shades of white and blue as well as subdued tones of orange-y/brown. I love the pairing of the two primary colours, blue and red, together and the stark white flowers against the red background really stand out.

The crepe material is so soft and the dress is a comfortable fit without being tight, sitting nicely along the shape of your figure. It is also fully-lined and of high-quality. I wear a lot of Cue clothing so, I will vouch for the quality. Of course, it all depends on the fabric, but I have dresses from Cue dating back five years which I still wear. The wide frill hem and belt add that extra touch of femininity.

I know it's a little on the pricey side, but the style itself is a classic cut as is the print and colour scheme so,  you'll definitely get your wear out of it.

It's also very appropriate to wear to work on Valentine's Day (insert heart-eyes emoji) ;-)

Trendy workout tights - February 2018

I've been wanting to buy a pair of black workout tights for some time now but, I didn't want just any ordinary pair - I wanted something with a bit of pizzazz!
Last Saturday I spotted a pair of animal-print tights in the window of the Running Bare store at my local and went in to try them on. Whilst there, I found these sexy black tights. These are definitely my favourite black tights! I can't boast enough about how comfortable and soft they are, and the fit is per-fect. I love these tights!! The fabric is lightweight and breathable so, great for cardio workouts.

I wore them on Tuesday for the first time and received so many compliments and had heaps of women ask where I bought them. The style name is 'Set the Standard' and you certainly 'set the standard' in these! They're a high-waisted fit, full length (well, for me anyway!) so, perfect for the coming cooler months and of high-quality. What I love most is the perforated mesh panelling, which reveals a little skin, adding a touch of sexiness! ;-)

I also bought the tights I initially went in to try. These are hot, hoT, HOT!! The style is Hear Me Roar tights and I am obsessed with them. Like the black pair, they're full length and the fabric is lightweight and comfortable. I love the colour combination and the pattern - give me all the animal prints! haha.

Anyway, I am loving all the bright colours and pretty designs in Running Bare at the moment. Best of all, they're made in Australia. yay!

Sexy Spotted Dress

Happy Thursday everyone. I cannot believe half of January has passed already!
I was away for work in Melbourne this week and whilst the change was nice, it's good to be home - the air is much cooler in Melbourne than Sydney so, it felt like winter on some mornings! As a result of my busy schedule, I haven't had a chance to share this post.

I don't know about you all but, during summer I love wearing light, flowy dresses. I have been on the lookout for something classy and slightly more dressy that you can wear casually as well as to work.

I am so happy with this pleated printed dress from Witchery. It is such a pretty, feminine style with the cinched waist, which creates a sexy silhouette. The material is very soft but of high quality. I love the V-cut on the hemline and the high halter neckline makes the dress look classy. What's more, the white polka-dots and navy background never go out of style - so chic.

I actually bought it a few weeks ago so, there's not that many sizes left online but, there are still sizes available in various stores.

Cold-Shoulder and Ties – January 2018

Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you all your best year yet!

In terms of shopping during the Boxing Day sales, I didn’t find anything at all! Mainly because the regular sales held throughout the year enabled me to pick up any items I liked then and there so, come Boxing Day I already had some of the sale items or didn’t much like what was on offer. I did however, buy a few new tops from Cue.

The first being, this pretty, pink shirt. It is so soft and really cute! As you can see, my love for the cold-shoulder style continues but this top is a little different with the fluted sleeves and ties. I wore it to work and received so many compliments (smiley face!). The colour is perfect for the summer months and very appropriate for transitioning into the autumn season. It can be paired with so many other shades, from nude to navy, varying shades of grey to black.

I also bought this layered cold-shoulder top in white. It is simple yet classy and extremely versatile; it makes a great piece for transitioning from day into evening wear. The high, round neck also allows you to glam-up your look with a statement necklace or long earrings. Like the pink tie-top, the fabric is soft and a comfortable fit. Both tops run true to size (FYI – I am wearing the size 6).
