Red Floral Dress

Happy Monday everyone! Wishing you all a great start to the week.

I found the most gorgeous dress from Cue! It's a vibrant red colour with pretty flowers scattered all over in shades of white and blue as well as subdued tones of orange-y/brown. I love the pairing of the two primary colours, blue and red, together and the stark white flowers against the red background really stand out.

The crepe material is so soft and the dress is a comfortable fit without being tight, sitting nicely along the shape of your figure. It is also fully-lined and of high-quality. I wear a lot of Cue clothing so, I will vouch for the quality. Of course, it all depends on the fabric, but I have dresses from Cue dating back five years which I still wear. The wide frill hem and belt add that extra touch of femininity.

I know it's a little on the pricey side, but the style itself is a classic cut as is the print and colour scheme so,  you'll definitely get your wear out of it.

It's also very appropriate to wear to work on Valentine's Day (insert heart-eyes emoji) ;-)

Trendy workout tights - February 2018

I've been wanting to buy a pair of black workout tights for some time now but, I didn't want just any ordinary pair - I wanted something with a bit of pizzazz!
Last Saturday I spotted a pair of animal-print tights in the window of the Running Bare store at my local and went in to try them on. Whilst there, I found these sexy black tights. These are definitely my favourite black tights! I can't boast enough about how comfortable and soft they are, and the fit is per-fect. I love these tights!! The fabric is lightweight and breathable so, great for cardio workouts.

I wore them on Tuesday for the first time and received so many compliments and had heaps of women ask where I bought them. The style name is 'Set the Standard' and you certainly 'set the standard' in these! They're a high-waisted fit, full length (well, for me anyway!) so, perfect for the coming cooler months and of high-quality. What I love most is the perforated mesh panelling, which reveals a little skin, adding a touch of sexiness! ;-)

I also bought the tights I initially went in to try. These are hot, hoT, HOT!! The style is Hear Me Roar tights and I am obsessed with them. Like the black pair, they're full length and the fabric is lightweight and comfortable. I love the colour combination and the pattern - give me all the animal prints! haha.

Anyway, I am loving all the bright colours and pretty designs in Running Bare at the moment. Best of all, they're made in Australia. yay!

Sexy Spotted Dress

Happy Thursday everyone. I cannot believe half of January has passed already!
I was away for work in Melbourne this week and whilst the change was nice, it's good to be home - the air is much cooler in Melbourne than Sydney so, it felt like winter on some mornings! As a result of my busy schedule, I haven't had a chance to share this post.

I don't know about you all but, during summer I love wearing light, flowy dresses. I have been on the lookout for something classy and sightly more dressy that you can wear casually as well as to work and in the evenings.

I am so happy with this pleated printed dress from Witchery. It is such a pretty, feminine style with the cinched waist, which creates a sexy silhouette. The material is very soft but of high quality. I love the V-cut on the hemline and the high halter neckline makes the dress look classy. What's more, the white polka-dots and navy background never go out of style - so chic.

I actually bought it a few weeks ago so, there's not that many sizes left online but, there are still sizes available in various stores.

Cold-Shoulder and Ties – January 2018

Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you all your best year yet!

In terms of shopping during the Boxing Day sales, I didn’t find anything at all! Mainly because the regular sales held throughout the year enabled me to pick up any items I liked then and there so, come Boxing Day I already had some of the sale items or didn’t much like what was on offer. I did however, buy a few new tops from Cue.

The first being, this pretty, pink shirt. It is so soft and really cute! As you can see, my love for the cold-shoulder style continues but this top is a little different with the fluted sleeves and ties. I wore it to work and received so many compliments (smiley face!). The colour is perfect for the summer months and very appropriate for transitioning into the autumn season. It can be paired with so many other shades, from nude to navy, varying shades of grey to black.

I also bought this layered cold-shoulder top in white. It is simple yet classy and extremely versatile; it makes a great piece for transitioning from day into evening wear. The high, round neck also allows you to glam-up your look with a statement necklace or long earrings. Like the pink tie-top, the fabric is soft and a comfortable fit. Both tops run true to size (FYI – I am wearing the size 6).

Shorts and Knotted tee - December 2017

Good morning and happy Friday!

As the temperatures inch higher each day, I love baring my (white) legs with a pair of stylish shorts. such as these. I love this cut and actually own these in also the red and white, which I have worn over and over. So glad I now have them in black!

Witchery has been killing it lately with lots of fashion-forward pieces. These structured shorts have a high waistband and are an A-line cut so, they flare ever so slightly, making your legs look super slim and long. Also, they are the perfect length - not too short and fit really well. Some shorts I try on have a very low crutch and seem to hang on me, which doesn’t look classy at all! I really love how they look on and they are so versatile!

Like I said, the cut shapes you very nicely and their simplicity makes them suitable and sophisticated enough for both day and night wear; during the day wear them with sandals then glam them up with heels and jewellery for the evening. I paired them with this white, cropped, knotted tee from Sheike. Knotted tees are a popular item this year. I have linked some others below (although most are ties rather than knots).

I also wanted to mention, this year shades of khaki are all the rage – even in Summer! I normally consider this an Autumn shade but, hues of khaki are currently everywhere! Witchery
have a few different styles of shorts in khaki namely, these shorts,
with the belt or these with the elastic. I’ve tried on both and really like the one with the belt.  The belt adds a touch of chic to them, making them look dressy.

Perfect NYE Dress

I found the perfect dress for New Year’s Eve! (hands-in-the-air emoji!). I love wearing something sparkly on NYE. Sequins always make me feel glamorous and fun! The dress is from Witchery and it’s a simple yet elegant style. It’s covered in soft sequins and fully lined therefore, comfortable to wear, especially when you sit down. The sequins have a silvery sparkle to them but they’re not overpowering, and the one-shoulder makes the dress look stylish and sophisticated. It’s also a great length. I can’t rave enough about it!

I recommend keeping the accessories simple to balance your look thus, avoid overloading on the sparkles.

All eyes on me

Summer is in the air and with plenty of sunshine, you certainly need to get your shades on! I purchased this funky pair by Prada over the weekend. I had been looking for a pair of sunglasses with the double-bridge feature for some time, but hadn't found any I loved enough to buy. Until these... I tried on many different styles from various brands to determine which suited my face shape and looked best, and these were my favourite.

To be honest, I vacillated between the black and tortoise shell frames but, in the end I opted for the tortoise shell - only because I bought this pair of black-framed sunglasses, also by Prada, only weeks prior! (NB: They are the sexiest pair of sunnies ever! Yes, they are a hexagon shape but they look absolutely amazing on! Who would've thought hexagons would look so sexy haha but, I digress...).

In my opinion, the black-frame sunglasses stand out more, especially on fair skin and hair. The tortoise shell, on the other hand, subtlely blends in with my fair complexion and hair. Like I said, it was a tough decision but I had a new black pair... I love the combination of gold and tortoise shell; the gold elevates the sunglasses, making them look sophisticated and stylish.

I have been wearing them every day since and receive so many compliments and questions about them. They're very comfortable  on and the classic style means they may be worn with everything.

Also, I wanted to mention this cross-body bag has been my go-to over the past few months. It is versatile and easy to wear. I highly recommend it. The style is the 'Favourite MM' in the monogram print.
