High-waisted suede-like skirt

What a change in weather - from a warm and sunny day yesterday to wet and gloomy today!
Given the cooler temperature I thought it appropriate to wear my new skirt from Sheike.
I only just bought it a few days ago and loved it when I tried it on. It's a high-waisted style, suede-like fabric in a burgundy shade, with an overlay feature across the front. It fits like a glove, perfectly contouring to your body, but because the fabric is so soft and stretchy the skirt is not tight, just fitted. Ps. The snug fit really accentuates your curves! Plus, it is the perfect length, stopping right on the knees.

For work, I prefer the longer length as it looks classy and elongates your legs. For today's look, I paired this skirt with my blush-coloured cold-shoulder top. I really love the combination of blush and burgundy; will definitely be wearing this colour-combo more
throughout the coming months. The burgundy shade is such an Autumn/Winter colour you can have this skirt on repeat, pairing it with white, black, beige, all shades of pink, navy or cobalt. Either way, you'll definitely get your money's worth from this skirt!

Frills and Animal Print

Good morning everyone!

For today’s look, I paired the black-and-white animal print skirt I purchased recently from Witchery, with my white cold-shoulder, trapeze top from Cue - which is currently on sale (down to $77!, also comes in black). This is one of my favourite outfits because it looks so feminine and sexy. As the skirt is short, I balanced it out by wearing a top with a scoop neck, with my only my shoulders exposed. I completed this look with my red pumps for a pop of colour.

This skirt also looks classy with black. I like it paired with this layered cold, shoulder top that I purchased last week from Cue - and is now on sale!

Autumn Styling - March 2018

So, I was intending to post this last week, on the last day of summer but I got caught up with work and my studies… On a positive note, most of the Autumn fashions have hit the stores and there’s so many pretty, feminine pieces. Frills and lace seem to be the dominant theme this season – happy days! haha

Witchery had 20% last weekend and I managed to buy a few items I really liked.

A cute black skirt is a staple and wears well over Autumn and into Winter. This textured skirt, with its double-ruffled hem is so darling. It’s a great buy as you will be able to create a variety of looks with it. In winter, it will look hot with opaque tights, a white shirt and ankle boots. Note: it is short, stopping mid-thigh and fits true to size. NB: I am wearing the size 4.

I also bought this wrap-ruffle skirt. I love this skirt - I mean frills and animal print, enough said! The cut of this skirt is super sexy! It is longer at the back and inches up slightly on the front right side, exposing a bit of thigh…I think it’s the ultimate skirt – you can wear it casually with a t-shirt and boots or sneakers or dress it up for work. It fits true to size. NB: I am wearing the size 4.

Another buy was this sexy tiered-sleeve lace top. I am obsessed with everything lace; it’s so romantic and feminine and of course, sexy! Normally, lace tends to itch my skin but this fabric is really soft. I adore the tiered sleeves – adds an extra touch of femininity to the top. The cami underneath is included, and the top is a fitted style but not tight. The great thing about lace is you can glam up your casual look of denims. NB: I bought the size 6.

This pretty top was another one of my purchases. The bubble sleeves are so cute and different, and the colours and floral print are really pretty for Autumn; soft and feminine. I love wearing light colours, even in winter so this top is perfect. NB: I bought the size 6.
Have a great week everyone!
